History
The Formal Establishment
of the Institution
In October 1937, the
institution Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya
was formally established. A spiritual trust was constituted
of a committee of nine young women with Om Radhe as the
head. Om Radhe took charge of administering the institution
and became the leading teacher. Dada, now called Prajapita
Brahma, gave away the entirety of his worldly wealth and
property to the trust committee. Never before, in the
history of the world had any male surrendered all his
belongings to a trust, constituted only of ladies. Nowhere
had women been given such an honour, as here, to head
and run a spiritual organisation. He gave charge of all
the institution’s affairs into the hands of the
dedicated women. His sole task now was faithfully to fulfill
the role of being God’s medium, and to take responsibility
for being a complete example of surrender to the will
of the Highest.
Om Radhe operated the institution on
the day-to-day basis, applying the Godly principles of
economy and simplicity. She remained detached in her role
as administrator, employing her own well developed powers
of judgment and discrimination, combined with her own
innate gentleness and sense of co-operation. She herself
always remembered that it was God’s work she was
performing, not her own. The knowledge which she taught
to others, and on the basis of which she had attained
her personal fulfillment, was given directly by the Supreme
and she was only His instrument. Her duty was to be ever
obedient to God’s wishes.
