Road Safety Program in Brahma Kumaris, Gamdevi – Mumbai

A symposium on road safety at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan took Place on 12th May 2017 from 6pm to 8pm, as a part of 4th ‘Global Road Safety Week’ (8th to 14th May) being observed by ‘United Nations Organisation’.

Atul Patil, Addl. Commissioner of police, Mumbai Transport Police, who was accorded by ‘DA Insignia medal’ has touched a spiritual part behind accidents, by mentioning that the graph line of number of accidents has gone upwards inline with modernisation of roads.

Mr. Diwakar Raote –Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Transport, Govt. of Maharashtra & President –Road Safety Committee, made the audience to ponder on certain questions like : reaching home early is a must or reaching safely is a must ? Also advised, better reach late rather then never reaching home.

Ms. Amita Nangia a T.V. Actress got inspired by this awakening program and took oath in an open forum that henceforth  she will never use cell phone while driving.

Brahmakumari Divya – Vice Chairperson, Transport Wing of Brahmakumaris shared her wisdom by saying that one should understand it is actually ‘Life Safety’ not ‘Road Safety’, also one should know our thoughts get transpired into the environment.

​Initially Sister Asha from Gamdevi Center  welcomed all the participants who are leaders like Taxi Union, Bus Depot Incharge, and other participants.

Brahmakumari Kavita, Project Co-ordinator of ‘SAFETY THROUGH SPIRITUAL SKILLS’ an initiative of brahmakumaris  for road safety, explained the risk of acceleration.​

Everyone had an out of the world experience while Brahma Kumari  Niha gave Guided Meditation. 15 mins Drama Play with a theme : Road safety through De-addiction was a good message sender.
