The Brahma Kumaris Kolkata family witnessed a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Global Enlightenment Retreat Centre, followed by its very first training program the Leadership with Ethics, Awareness and Purpose LEAP retreat. This special silence retreat, conducted under the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, aims to empower teachers and community leaders through spiritual wisdom and practical applications of value-based leadership.
The two-day retreat, held on 9–10 November 2025 at the serene premises of the newly established retreat centre in Kolkata, brought together educators and professionals from Eastern and Northeastern India. About 200 BK teachers and brothers benefitted from this transformative experience.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of BK Jayanti Behn, Additional Chief of Brahma Kumaris, along with BK Kanan Behn, BK Supriya Behn Executive Member, Education Wing, Mt. Abu, and BK Ritu Thakkar Motivational Speaker, Mumbai. Their presence added inspiration and spiritual depth to the occasion.
Each day began with powerful Amritvela meditation sessions, followed by interactive workshops, creative activities, and reflective group discussions. Participants also experienced a soulful angelic walk amidst the natural greenery of the campus, creating an atmosphere of inner silence and elevated awareness.
Sharing her thoughts, BK Kanan Behn emphasized the vision of nurturing leaders who embody ethics, awareness, and purpose in every sphere of life. She highlighted that the newly inaugurated centre is envisioned as a spiritual hub for professionals, educators, youth, students, and industry leaders, offering them a sacred space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with values that inspire ethical actions and collective upliftment.
With its successful first program, the Global Enlightenment Retreat Centre is set to become a beacon of spiritual empowerment and value-based leadership for the region.
