From London to Mount Abu, Avnish Goyal reflects on a transformative experience at the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters—where teachings on meditation, virtues, and calm living opened new doors to inner peace. “It’s truly life-changing,” he says, ready to share the wisdom back home.
My name is Avnish Goyal, and I’m from London, UK. It’s been an incredible experience at the Brahma Kumaris center here in Mount Abu. We’ve come from London, and I’ve been on and off involved with the Brahma Kumaris for the last 46–47 years, and this is my first experience here—and it’s absolutely awesome. We’ve had an amazing three days.
Learning so much about our spiritual journey, and I can’t wait to take this back to London to share with family members—and also the learnings we’ve gained, just about simple things like how to stay calm, how to meditate, and just look at our values and our virtues and practice them to become a better version of ourselves each and every day. I’m looking forward to spreading that message when we get back to London, and seeing whether we can get more of our community involved in this teaching, which is so important for today’s society.
“Life-changing”—I think—is a word that sometimes gets overused, but definitely here, all the little things I’ve learned will have a big impact over a long period of time
