Sometimes there are such worms in the stomach which are called Balaun, which keep eating food inside and no matter how much food the eater keeps on eating, the desire to eat more remains always there. The meaning of this proverb is that by having the worm called Greed in one's intellect, he gets attracted towards objects and always be thinking of having or eating something or the other.
ఒక్కోసారి కడుపులో పురుగులు చేరుతాయి, వాటిని నులి పురుగులు (బలావూ) అంటారు, అవి తిన్న ఆహారాన్ని తినేస్తూ ఉంటాయి, దానివలన వ్యక్తికి ఎంత తిన్నా ఇంకా తినాలన్న ఆసక్తి, ఆకలి ఉంటుంది. అలాగే లోభము అన్న పురుగు బుద్ధిలో ఉన్న వ్యక్తికి ఎంత తిన్నా, ఎంత ఉన్నా ఇంకా కావాలి, కావాలి అన్న ఆలోచనే ఉంటూ ఉంటుంది.
कई बार पेट में ऐसे कीड़े हो जाते हैं जिन्हें बलाऊँ कहते हैं, जो अन्दर भोजन को खाते रहते हैं और खाने वाला कितना भी भोजन करता रहे, उसको और खाने की इच्छा सदा बनी रहती है। इस कहावत का भावार्थ यह है कि लालच रूपी कीड़ा अगर बुद्धि में है तो आसक्ति से पदार्थों की तरफ आकर्षित होते रहते हैं और सदा खाने के बारे में और लेने के बारे में ही व्यक्ति सोचता रहता है ।
