Leaving behind the old skies, India has taken flight,
and now, with a self-reliant India, the sky is no longer far.
It is a festival of joy in progress and development,
it is the Amrit Mahotsav of freedom.
This celebration is of building a new India,
of honoring the sacrifices,
of uplifting women,
and now, of the welfare of all.
It is a festival for every person, a celebration in every heart,
this is the festival, this is the Amrit Mahotsav.
Every step must move forward,
a new sun must rise,
we have resolved in our hearts,
to create heaven here on earth.
It is a time for new pledges,
a hundred salutations to Mother India.
It is a festival for every person, a celebration in every heart,
this is the festival, this is the festival,
this is the Amrit Mahotsav, this is the festival…
