30 October 1935 — 9 October 2025
A life guided by God, lived as an instrument.
He helped take Godly service into new spaces — public life, national leadership, institutions and the world.

BK Brijmohan Bhai Ji, also known as Brij Mohan Bhai, was born in Amritsar on 30 October 1935.
In 1953, Brijmohan Bhai Ji came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris and began his spiritual journey. In 1955, he and his family met Brahma Baba and Mamma for the first time.
He stayed friendly, and he stayed light. A big task could come, and still he did not hold it as his own.
The stories below are told simply.
1935
Amritsar
Brijmohan Bhai Ji was born on 30 October 1935 in Amritsar, Punjab.
1953–1956
A new direction
In 1953, as a young graduate, Brijmohan Bhai Ji came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris and began his spiritual journey.
In 1955, he and his family met Brahma Baba and Mamma for the first time at Kota House in Madhuban.
By 1956, he had completed his studies in law and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He started his own practice, but on Brahma Baba’s advice, he closed it and joined the Fertilizer Corporation of India at Nangal.
He remained there for 17 years, while continuing to serve alongside his professional responsibilities.
1968
With Brahma Baba
In 1968, Brahma Baba formed a small committee to help look after the responsibilities of the Yagya, and Brijmohan Bhai Ji was chosen as one of its members.
Baba affectionately called him “Udan Khatola” — one who was always ready to move wherever service called.
1973
Delhi
In 1973, after 17 years of professional life, Brijmohan Bhai Ji left his government job and dedicated himself fully to Godly service.
From Delhi Pandav Bhawan, a new chapter of his life began — one that would eventually take him into countless areas of Yagya service.
1981
Purity
In 1981, Brijmohan Bhai Ji started the English magazine Purity.
Through its articles, spiritual wisdom reached intellectuals, professionals and readers in India and abroad. He continued to serve through the magazine for many years.
1985
Mount Abu
In 1985, President Giani Zail Singh visited Mount Abu for the Bharat Unity Peace March.
It became an important milestone in service. In the years that followed, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Vice Presidents, judges, ministers, senior officials and other national leaders increasingly came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris.
Brijmohan Bhai Ji became one of the key instruments in taking the message of Rajyoga and spiritual values to national leadership.
1980s
United Nations Service
Brijmohan Bhai Ji also became an important instrument in the Brahma Kumaris’ United Nations-related service in India.
Through initiatives such as the Million Minutes of Peace, the message of peace and spiritual values reached people on an international scale.
1994
A historic stamp
In 1994, the Government of India issued a commemorative postage stamp honouring Prajapita Brahma Baba.
Brijmohan Bhai Ji played an important role in making this historic service possible.
2000
The United Nations
In 2000, Brijmohan Bhai Ji participated in the United Nations Millennium gathering.
He was also closely associated with the Brahma Kumaris’ Culture of Peace initiative, through which the organisation continued to spread the message of peace and human values around the world.
2021–2023
Remembering the Dadis
In 2021, a commemorative postage stamp was issued in honour of Dadi Janki Ji, followed in 2023 by a stamp honouring Dadi Prakashmani Ji.
Brijmohan Bhai Ji was closely involved in these services as well, continuing a journey that had begun decades earlier with the Brahma Baba postage stamp.
2024
The Yagya
After Nirwair Bhai Ji left the physical body, Brijmohan Bhai Ji took on the responsibility of Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris.
Alongside this, he continued serving as a senior spokesperson and guide for the organisation, and as Principal Advisor to the Om Shanti Retreat Centre.
Even in his later years, his life remained closely connected with the responsibilities and service of the Yagya.
2025
Manesar
On the morning of 9 October 2025, Brijmohan Bhai Ji left his mortal body in Manesar.
A life spanning more than seven decades of Godly service had completed its physical journey.
His courage, practical wisdom, humour, faith in Baba and readiness to take responsibility remain a lasting inspiration for the entire family.
A life of service continues through the paths it opened for others.

The family went to Madhuban. The meeting was so sweet that he sat down in the lap again.
To him Baba said, complete your study. To his younger brother Baba said, leave it.
His mother passed him her mango in secret. Baba had already seen.
They waited to be called for a game. Baba came, and Baba lost. Then they learned why.
He kept his father’s clothes. Baba smiled, and gave him a deep little lesson.
After class they sat with Baba as a family. Then Mamma called, and they went for a walk.
The name was not asked for. In yoga with Shiv Baba, the blessing came by itself.
He opened his own office. Eight months later Baba said, leave it and take a job.
He did not expect to be chosen. He was the one they took.
He sent his first salary to Baba. Baba returned it, and then kept it once.
He bought a car for service. A year later, Baba said, sell it.
People with a job asked him, how did you keep your food pure so far from home?
The job had become a way of service. Still, Shiv Baba prepared him to leave it.
His name could not be printed as editor. Baba called him one anyway. Years later, it became true.
People did not know what the red light at the centre meant. So the family held a public programme.

A programme at Lucknow’s Governor House. The first seminar in Chandigarh. A museum at the Retreat Centre, and construction help for Om Shanti Bhawan. He was one of the instruments.

A Rajyoga book reached well-known people. Purity magazine began. The President came to Mount Abu. A peace prize followed, and three stamps were released. He was one of the instruments.
His service often worked behind the scenes — arranging resources, securing land, helping construction move forward, and creating spaces that would serve thousands for years to come.
Brijmohan Bhai Ji also played an important role in securing the land for Gyan Vigyan Bhawan and in the purchase of Sangam Bhawan at Abu Road. Alongside these larger projects, he helped develop museums at Karol Bagh and Lucknow, creating spaces where spiritual knowledge could be presented to the public in a simple and visual way.
These were different forms of the same service — helping build the physical spaces through which the Yagya could reach and serve more people.

30 October 1935 — 9 October 2025
On 9 October 2025, Brijmohan Bhai Ji completed his physical journey and attained his angelic stage.
For more than seven decades, whenever a responsibility came before him, he stepped forward with faith, courage and the awareness of being an instrument. Again and again, what seemed difficult found a way — and he always gave the credit to Baba and the collective strength of the Yagya.
The Dadis would often say, “Only Brijmohan can do this.”
His physical presence may no longer be with us, but the paths he helped open, the service he helped build, and the memories he leaves behind continue to inspire the family.
Om Shanti.
