Om Shanti.
There is this situation of the sad demise of my parent. I enter the place of the funeral. I see the people around me. Some are talking to each other, some are remembering how good they were. I observe everything and everyone around me. The environment is filled with a feeling of loss, grief, pain, and sadness. I feel some heaviness in my heart. I look at the photo. Memories start rushing through my mind. Memories of the happy times we spent together. Memories of the love and care I received from them. Memories of how I made my parent feel proud.
As my mind goes through these memories, I look at the loss. Yes. Now, at this point in time, I have two choices: whether to allow the feeling of pain and grief in my heart, or to choose peace, gratitude, and power. I decide to choose the latter. I remind myself that I am a peaceful and powerful soul. As I look at the photo of my parent, I see them too as a peaceful and powerful soul. I am aware that the soul is imperishable. The soul is eternal. My relationship with my parent was not with the body, but with the soul. That soul is still there. The soul of my parent has moved on, on a new journey from this body to a new body.
Whatever vibrations I create through my thoughts, the same shall be received by them wherever they are. If I create sorrow, I give them sorrow. If I create love, peace, gratitude, and power, I give them the same. Now I decide to bid them farewell, not with sorrow, but with peace and gratitude. I thank them for everything they did for me. I thank them for the person they were. I thank them for decorating my life with the invaluable teachings, values, and love.
In deep silence, I fill my heart with the most elevated feelings and see them travel to the soul of my parent. My thoughts, my wishes, my love, and gratitude are being received by the soul, wherever it is now. My thoughts provide them peace and power. They can feel the lightness in their new life, and I feel the same lightness. My heart feels light. My mind is relaxed. There is a deep satisfaction inside with the understanding that my positive thoughts can still contribute towards a happy and peaceful new life of my parent.
With these good feelings, I change the environment of this place. I spread peace, not pain. I spread love, not regret. I spread good wishes, not grief. I am a pure, peaceful, and powerful soul. Always light, no matter what. In this peaceful and powerful stage, I am now ready to fulfill my duties and responsibilities while being stable inside.
Om Shanti
