On 16 May 2026, a special Women’s Health Event organised by the Brent Public Health Department was successfully held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, bringing together several organisations dedicated to supporting women’s wellbeing and holistic health.
The event featured informative workshops and interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics related to women’s health, emotional wellbeing, and self-care. Important information addressing common misconceptions and myths surrounding cancer was thoughtfully shared by the Brent Public Health Department, helping to raise awareness and encourage informed and open conversations about health within the community.
Brahma Kumaris UK felt honoured to be part of this meaningful initiative. Representing the organisation, Sis Kanan, along with Sis Jyoti, Sis Sushma, and Br Shantanu, created a joyful and uplifting atmosphere through the engaging Virtue Wheel activity and warm interactions with visitors throughout the event.
A special highlight of the programme was the powerful guided meditation session conducted by Sis Kanan, which was deeply appreciated by participants and brought a sense of peace, positivity, and inner calm to all present.
The event beautifully highlighted the importance of holistic wellbeing. When women nurture both their inner peace and physical health, they become empowered to support their families, uplift one another, and contribute towards creating stronger, healthier, and happier communities.
The programme concluded with positive feedback and heartfelt appreciation from attendees for all the organisations and volunteers who contributed towards making the event meaningful and impactful.
