As part of the Silver Jubilee Year celebrations of Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), a meaningful gathering of 200+ participants was organised around the theme “Overcoming Overthinking.” The insightful session focused on understanding the mind and exploring practical ways to overcome the habit of overthinking.
Rajyogini BK Asha Didi, Director, Om Shanti Retreat Centre, shared valuable insights
on the importance of conserving the mind’s energy by reducing wasteful thoughts. She highlighted that managing unnecessary thoughts plays an important role in maintaining mental peace and inner stability.
Senior Rajyoga Teacher BK Gopi explained that
ego and the feeling of being insulted can be underlying causes of overthinking. His insights encouraged participants to look within and understand the deeper emotional patterns that influence the mind.
A panel discussion featuring Monika Gupta, Jatin Dureja, BK Hussain and BK Preeti Madan explored practical aspects of overcoming overthinking. The discussion also addressed challenges such as the fear of failure and offered perspectives on developing a more balanced and positive approach towards life situations.
The gathering provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on their thought patterns and discover ways to direct the mind towards greater clarity, stability and peace.
When the mind is guided with love, understanding and purpose, it finds a more peaceful direction.
