“When old age brings the fear of being alone, unsupported, or unheard, this meditation helps you feel peaceful, active, positive, and quietly confident that the right help will come at the right time.”
This meditation helps a person in old age gently face the fear of being alone, especially during quiet nights when thoughts arise: “Who will come if something goes wrong?” It supports the mind in moving away from fear, worry, anxiety, and stress, and toward faith, peace, and quiet confidence.
Through this meditation, the person remembers that staying active, positive, kind, and helpful creates powerful causes in life. It brings trust that whatever is needed will come at the right time, circumstances will align, and life will continue to support and care for them. The mind becomes light, free, and peaceful, and the heart feels at rest.

Life stages
Passing into the later stages of life is an adventure, a journey that all of us make at the right time. As I enter into my own later stage of life, I understand circumstances have changed, relationships have matured, and responsibilities have also evolved.
But the one thing in which I have complete faith and trust is the dignity of my own character, my own behavior, and my own actions. Sometimes the thought may come to me in my old age: Who will help me in moments of need? Will there be someone there for me when I am alone?
I understand these thoughts may sometimes come. But then I remind myself of the greater reality, the bigger picture, the eternal perspective of life. If I continue to stay active, if I continue to emit and radiate positivity, goodness, and kindness, if I continue to do what I can do and share that positive energy with others, then I have the quiet confidence that life will look after me.
I allow myself to be with these thoughts. I am aware that there is a principle called the law of cause and effect, and I choose to be with the cause. I choose to live in the cause. That is, I choose to occupy myself with doing what I know I can do: to give, to share, to help, and to uplift in any way I can.
I choose to create these causes, and I have the trust that the effect will be: whatever I need will come to me at the right time. I pay attention to whatever practical requirements I need to take care of, but with no fear, no worry, no anxiety, and no stress.
I do the right action, the responsible action, with a mind that is light, free, and peaceful. I maintain the faith that as long as I have a clean heart, as long as I live from a space of authenticity within myself, life will continue to support me and care for me.
Circumstances will align themselves to provide me with the right need at the right time. My mind is peaceful. My heart is at rest.
I am a being of peace. I am a being of love. I am a being of goodness. Let me remember this. Let me stay in this awareness. Let me be ready to share this with others, and at the right time, to be silent and also enjoy my own company.
Take a deep breath. Absorb this fullness. And gently, when you are ready, open your eyes. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
