On 22nd January 2026, the Honourable Dr. Lackram Bodoe, Minister of Health, and the Honourable Dr. Rishad Seecheran, Minister in the Ministry of Health, were pleased to meet with members of VIHASA (Values In Healthcare – A Spiritual Approach) of the Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Centre of Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting took place in a warm, respectful, and positive atmosphere, where matters of mutual interest were discussed. The interaction reflected a shared intention to promote values, ethics, and spirituality within the healthcare system, with a human-centered and compassionate approach to well-being.

The VIHASA delegation included Dr. Manoj Matnani, Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist visiting from India; Dr. Sister Hemlata Sanghi, Sub-Regional Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre Inc. (Trinidad and Tobago); Ms. Jasmine Bisnath, President; Mr. Kishan Lutchman, PhD Candidate; Ms. Avalon King; and Mr. Randolph Basdeo.

Also in attendance from the Ministry of Health were Dr. Jeanine St. Bernard, Chief Medical Officer (Ag.); Ms. Anita Sohan, Director of the International Cooperation Desk; and Mr. David Constant, Resource Mobilization Cooperation Specialist.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of goodwill and mutual appreciation, highlighting the importance of collaboration between healthcare leadership and spiritual, value-based initiatives for the greater benefit of society.
