On 2 August 2026, BK Varnika, Faculty, Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), represented the Brahma Kumaris at Lok Bhavan, Patna, during a special programme virtually launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The programme was attended by Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd.), and Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary. During the event, the 10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Mega Campaign poster was unveiled, marking the formal launch of the nationwide campaign.
Addressing the gathering, BK Varnika highlighted the Brahma Kumaris' de-addiction initiatives and shared how Rajyoga Meditation can help young people overcome addiction by developing inner strength, self-awareness, and positive values. She also conducted a guided Rajyoga Meditation session for the participants, enabling them to experience peace and mental well-being.
In his address, Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary appreciated the Brahma Kumaris' dedicated efforts in the field of de-addiction and announced the Government of Bihar's intention to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the organisation to support the vision of a drug-free Bihar.
Hon'ble Governor Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd.) also urged the youth to stay away from intoxicating substances and protect their health, dignity, and values, encouraging collective responsibility towards building a healthier society.
The programme reinforced the Brahma Kumaris' commitment to promoting spiritual empowerment through Rajyoga Meditation and supporting national initiatives aimed at creating a healthy, value-based, and drug-free future.
