On September 28, 2026, the program “Inner Leadership, Shared Peace” was held at Vistar, Somerset Central Salcedo, Makati, to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Peace. The program was organized in collaboration with UniHarmony Partners Manila and Brahma Kumaris Philippines.
The program began with inspiring video presentations from Brahma Kumaris and UniHarmony Partners Manila. This was followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Jose Melchor Narciso Sescon, Corporate Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris Board of Trustees, and Rev. Fr. Carlos Reyes, Minister for Interreligious and Ecumenical Affairs of the Archdiocese of Manila.
The keynote address was given by Rajyogini Didi Asha Puri. She shared valuable thoughts on leadership, inner leadership, peace, and spiritual growth.
Speaking about leadership, Didi Asha Puri shared that
the true purpose of a leader is to serve. Leaders are servers. When we serve others without expectations, we receive blessings and make a meaningful difference.
On inner leadership, she explained
that we need an inner spiritual compass to guide us through difficult situations. This compass comes from our values, virtues, and purpose. True inner leadership is not about having many followers, but about becoming an example through our own actions and inspiring others to develop similar qualities.
Didi Asha Puri also spoke about inner peace.
Many people look for peace of mind, but inner conflict can arise when our values and beliefs are different from the expectations of the outside world. She encouraged everyone to look within through introspection and understand where personal change and growth are needed.
She emphasized
the importance of regular meditation and giving attention to spiritual development. She encouraged everyone to begin with the self and to see every person as a child of God. If God is our Father, then we are all part of one universal family.
By seeing ourselves as spiritual beings, we can develop greater love, respect, acceptance, and appreciation for one another and remove the walls that divide us.
The program concluded with a peaceful meditation, helping participants experience their inner peace. The panelists then shared one personal practice that helps them maintain peace within themselves as part of a Peace Commitment.
The program ended with a simple and powerful message: Peace begins within each one of us and grows through our daily thoughts, actions, and practices.
The gathering reflected the shared commitment of UniHarmony Partners Manila and Brahma Kumaris Philippines to promote understanding, harmony, and peace among individuals, communities, and different faith traditions.
