As part of the United Nations COP17 for Biodiversity, held in Yerevan, Armenia, a Brahma Kumaris delegation participated in the global conference, representing the organisation's commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability and harmony between humanity and nature. The delegation included BK Vidhatri from the Brahma Kumaris, Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), Gurugram, along with members from Canada and Armenia.
During the conference, the Brahma Kumaris actively contributed to several panel discussions and conferences, while also organising workshops, wellness sessions and interactive dialogues for COP participants and members of the public. These initiatives extended to the Faith Hub and Women’s Hub, providing valuable platforms for spiritual perspectives, meaningful conversations and collective engagement.
A special reception was also organised for COP participants and members of the Armenian community, creating opportunities to strengthen connections and encourage greater cooperation towards environmental sustainability.
Through these diverse engagements, the Brahma Kumaris highlighted the importance of inner transformation and spiritual values in addressing environmental challenges. The message emphasised that creating a sustainable future requires not only external efforts but also a transformation in human consciousness, attitudes and lifestyles.
The participation reflected the Brahma Kumaris' ongoing commitment to promoting environmental responsibility, peaceful coexistence and a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature.
When we nurture peace and harmony within, we naturally contribute to peace and harmony with the Earth.
