A series of significant initiatives were recently undertaken by the Brahma Kumaris in support of building a drug-free and healthy society. Each program reflected the commitment of the organization towards creating awareness, inspiring transformation, and guiding individuals towards a disciplined, addiction-free lifestyle.
At Mount Abu, BK brothers and sisters flagged off the Drug De-addiction Campaign Rath, an initiative of the Government of India, by showing the green flag. This specially prepared service Rath has been dedicated to spreading awareness across different regions, inspiring people to stay away from harmful substances and embrace the values of meditation, purity, and healthy living. The atmosphere at the Headquarters was filled with enthusiasm and spiritual energy as good wishes were offered for the success of this noble campaign.
In another impactful program, people were enlightened about the dangers of addiction and were guided on how meditation and healthy lifestyle habits can help achieve better physical and mental health. Participants took a pledge to remain free from addiction throughout their lives, reflecting their determination to create a positive future.
Additionally, a special awareness program was organized for students with the objective of educating them about the ill effects of drug addiction and motivating them to adopt a disciplined, positive lifestyle. The event began with a prayer and welcome song, followed by insightful messages from sisters of the Brahma Kumaris Sansthan. They explained that drug addiction weakens not just the body but also damages mental and social well-being, while real happiness and success are possible only in a drug-free life. Motivational examples and a question-answer session inspired active participation. Many students took an oath to stay free from drugs and to encourage their peers to do the same. The principal of the school appreciated the initiative and highlighted the responsibility of sharing awareness about the dangers of addiction.
Together, these programs mark an important step in the collective journey towards an addiction-free society. They not only spread awareness but also instill courage and resolve among people of all ages to choose a healthier, more positive, and spiritually elevated way of living.
