21 June 2026: As part of the countdown to the International Day of Yoga 2026, the Embassy of India in Bogotá, in collaboration with the Instituto Distrital de Recreación y Deporte (IDRD) and Brahma Kumaris, organized a vibrant community Yoga session at the Ciclovía point in Parque Nacional, Bogotá.
The event brought together around 60 yoga enthusiasts, who enthusiastically participated in the session and experienced Yoga as a pathway to physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The initiative reflected the growing global acceptance of Yoga as a timeless practice for holistic health and inner balance.
Heartfelt appreciation was extended to @IndiaEmbBogota, @MEAIndia, @IndianDiplomacy, @moayush, and @iccr_hq for their continued efforts in promoting the universal values of Yoga and inspiring lives through this ancient tradition.
The programme also highlighted the deeper dimension of Yoga, emphasizing that its true essence is realized when physical discipline is complemented by spiritual awareness. Participants were encouraged to combine Yoga with Rajyoga meditation, enabling them to cultivate greater harmony, inner peace, purpose, and compassion in their daily lives.
The session concluded with a collective commitment to embrace Yoga and meditation as practical tools for creating healthier individuals, stronger communities, and a more peaceful world.
