The Digital Wellness Team conducted an engaging Digital Wellness session at Jadavpur Rishi Aurobinda Vidyapith, Kolkata, reaching 40 students and encouraging young learners to reflect on their relationship with technology and develop healthier digital habits.
A central feature of the session was the Digital Wellness Self-Assessment, which encouraged students to reflect on how technology influences their attention, emotions, productivity, relationships and everyday choices. The exercise promoted self-observation rather than external judgment, reinforcing the principle that awareness is the first step towards positive change.
The self-assessment categorised participants into four levels based on their scores:
- 0–15: The Conscious User
- 16–30: The Distracted User
- 31–45: The Emotionally Dependent User
- 46–60: The Digital Slave
The session emphasised that the objective of Digital Wellness is not simply to reduce screen time, but to encourage the conscious and purposeful use of technology, while remaining in command of one's attention, emotions and overall well-being.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to understand their digital habits more deeply and inspired them to make mindful choices in their everyday use of technology.
