On the auspicious occasion of United Nations International Youth Day, August 12, 2025, the Brahma Kumaris UN Team in New York launched a unique and inspiring initiative – the “Still for a Sec (SAS) Youth Campaign.”
This two-month campaign invites young people across the world to embrace the power of pausing – not just for social media reels, but to pause for the real purpose of connecting with one’s inner self. The campaign offers youth a simple yet powerful practice of taking regular daily pauses, enabling them to cultivate inner clarity, focus, and strength in their lives.
The “Still for a Sec” initiative was introduced as a meaningful tool for youth empowerment, reminding young minds that even a few seconds of stillness can open the door to peace, positivity, and resilience in a fast-paced world.
Participants are encouraged to engage actively, share their experiences with friends and contacts, and submit photographs or videos of their practices. These contributions will later be compiled and presented to the United Nations as a collective reflection of youth dedication towards peace and self-transformation.
Through this campaign, the BK UN Youth team extends a heartfelt invitation to the global youth community to embrace this practice and become ambassadors of peace and inner strength.
