The Blood Donation Maha Abhiyan was inaugurated at the Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), Gurugram, in loving memory of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, highlighting blood donation as a powerful expression of service, compassion and world brotherhood.
Hon’ble Shri Nitin Nabin, National President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),
described blood donation as a meaningful act of service and a reflection of the spirit of world brotherhood. He also encouraged the youth to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards the vision of a drug-free India, alongside the noble cause of blood donation.
Rajyogini BK Asha Didi emphasised that
true service extends beyond donating blood. She encouraged everyone to donate values to society as well—cultivating compassion, responsibility, cooperation and positive thinking that can contribute to a healthier and more harmonious society.
The five-day Blood Donation Maha Abhiyan will be conducted across India and Nepal from 21 to 25 August 2026, inviting people from all walks of life to come forward and contribute to saving lives.
The campaign builds upon the remarkable response received last year, when a record 88,500 units of blood were collected through the initiative. This achievement reflects the spirit of selfless service and the collective commitment of individuals and organisations towards the wellbeing of society.
The campaign carries a simple yet profound message: one donation can save a life, and one act of service can inspire many. Through this initiative, the Brahma Kumaris continue to encourage the spirit of giving, compassion and human unity, transforming the precious gift of blood into a celebration of humanity.
