On the auspicious occasion of India’s Independence Day, Sister Neena represented the Brahma Kumaris at a grand celebration organized by the Indian Consulate at Victoria Square, Birmingham. The event was attended by eminent dignitaries including Councillor Zafar Iqbal MBE JP, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham; Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan, Consulate General of India in Birmingham; Ms. Mihaela Savu, Consulate General of Romania in Birmingham; PO Rani Gundhu QPM; and Mr. Hamid Malik, President of the Federation of Indian Muslim Organisations Midlands-UK, among several other distinguished guests and community leaders.
Sister Neena, representing the Brahma Kumaris, shared in the collective spirit of unity, peace, and harmony that the occasion symbolized. The Independence Day gathering brought together diverse communities to honour the values of freedom and to strengthen intercultural bonds.
The presence of Brahma Kumaris at such a significant event reflected the organisation’s commitment to promoting peace, spirituality, and universal brotherhood on platforms of national importance.
