The Brahma Kumaris Centre in Guangzhou had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Shambhu L. Hakki, Consul General of India in Guangzhou, along with his family during his recent visit to the Centre.
The visit coincided with the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. On this sacred occasion, BK Sister Sapna tied the rakhi to Mr. Hakki and his family, sharing words of spiritual wisdom and blessings.
During the gathering, Mr. Hakki was extended a warm invitation to attend the forthcoming Global Summit at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters, which he kindly accepted.
As Mr. Hakki prepared to conclude his four-year tenure in Guangzhou and move on to his next diplomatic assignment, the Brahma Kumaris family organized a special farewell program in his honor. BK sisters – Rose, Ivy, Khushi, and Jenny – shared heartfelt experiences from their spiritual journey and expressed gratitude for the positive influence of the Brahma Kumaris teachings in their lives.
In his address, Mr. Hakki sincerely appreciated the consistent contribution of the Brahma Kumaris to the community in Guangzhou, as well as their strong support to the Indian Consulate during various cultural and social initiatives. He remarked, “I deeply value the services rendered by the Brahma Kumaris in nurturing peace, spirituality, and community well-being in the region. The Consulate has greatly benefited from your support, and I am grateful for the goodwill you have extended.”
The visit beautifully reflected both the celebration of India’s spiritual culture and a warm farewell to a respected diplomat. The program concluded with a special meditation session in Baba’s room, where Mr. Hakki and his family experienced moments of deep peace and divine connection.
