A grand and spiritually uplifting celebration of three significant festivals – India’s Independence Day, Krishna Janmashtami, and Raksha Bandhan – was held on 16th August at the Brahma Kumaris Centre in St. Petersburg, Russia. This unique occasion highlighted the deep spiritual, cultural, and universal values behind these festivals, making them meaningful not only for Bharat but for people across the globe.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including representatives of the BRICS organization, renowned educationists, actors, public servants, and members of the Indian community in St. Petersburg. Mr. Nirmesh Kumar, Consul of India in St. Petersburg, addressed the gathering, appreciating the love and respect for Bharat and its culture, which, he said, reflected love for all of humanity.
Santosh Didi, greeting everyone on this triple festival, reminded the audience that the story of Bharat is, in fact, the story of the whole world—its past, present, and future. She emphasized that the original Bharat was home to pure and virtuous deities whose natural religion was purity, peace, and love. By reawakening these original qualities and living with purity and love in every action, humanity can once again contribute to establishing a golden world of happiness and peace.
The program opened with a symbolic transport to Delhi’s Red Fort, reliving the flag-hoisting ceremony by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Through creative presentations, the audience experienced the glory of Bharat’s divine past, the struggle for independence, and the present inspiring progress of India in many fields. The colorful depictions of Bharat Mata and the promise of the Supreme Father to restore the golden age deeply touched the hearts of all present.
Every corner of the Lighthouse Centre was filled with joy and inspiration. Guests were blessed with the darshan of Bharat Mata and inspired to become “world mothers” – selfless sustainers of all souls. They received personal charts for self-promise and self-checking to imbibe virtues, recognizing that even one virtue can begin the journey to the land of light.
The Museum area recreated the dawn of the golden age with the blissful birth of Shri Krishna, where everyone enjoyed the divine experience of rocking baby Krishna on a swing and partaking in sweets and fruits of heavenly delight. The sacred Rakhi tying ceremony in the Conference Hall created an atmosphere of silence, purity, and divine protection.
Though the event concluded, the pure thread of Rakhi remains in the hearts of all participants, signifying that this festival of spiritual connection and divine protection continues forever.
