On 24 June 2026, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, conveyed his message of appreciation and best wishes to the Brahma Kumaris on the occasion of the organisation's nationwide movement in support of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Expressing his happiness, the Prime Minister congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for this thoughtful initiative, which seeks to inspire citizens, especially the youth, to embrace a healthy way of life and strengthen the nation's collective resolve towards a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
He observed that as India moves confidently towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, the country's greatest asset is the energy, talent and aspirations of its young generation. Every young person who remains free from the grip of addiction can contribute meaningfully to the nation's progress through innovation, enterprise and selfless service. Therefore, ensuring that the youth remain free from this menace is not only a social responsibility but also a national duty.
The Prime Minister further noted that the challenge of drug abuse extends far beyond the life of an individual, weakening families, eroding social harmony and depriving the nation of the immense strength of its youth.
Appreciating the Brahma Kumaris' dedicated efforts, he remarked that it is heartening to see the organisation carrying this message to schools, colleges, villages and communities across the country through spiritual awareness, value-based education, Rajyoga Meditation and public outreach programmes. He stated that these efforts complement the nationwide Nasha Mukti campaign by encouraging positive life choices and creating an environment where awareness, counselling, rehabilitation and community support work together to transform lives. He further described these initiatives as reflecting the true spirit of Jan Bhagidari, where every section of society becomes an active partner in building a healthier and stronger nation.
Concluding his message, the Prime Minister congratulated the Brahma Kumaris, partner organisations, volunteers and citizens associated with this noble endeavour. He expressed the hope that this movement would further strengthen the nation's shared resolve to build a Nasha Mukt Bharat and realise the vision of Viksit Bharat. He also conveyed his best wishes for the continued success of the campaign.
