21 June 2026: The 12th International Day of Yoga was observed in Zurich, Switzerland, with an inspiring programme that highlighted the complementary role of Yoga and meditation in achieving holistic well-being. Organized by the Embassy of India in Switzerland, the celebration brought together representatives of community organizations, members of the Indian diaspora, and wellness enthusiasts.
A special Rajyoga meditation session presented by Brahma Kumaris Switzerland enabled participants to experience inner peace, concentration, and emotional balance after the Yoga practice. The programme emphasized that combining physical discipline with spiritual awareness helps individuals lead healthier and more harmonious lives.
In recognition of their valuable contribution, Ambassador Mridul Kumar honoured Brahma Kumaris Switzerland along with partner organizations SIFAA, IAGZ, and Keli for supporting the successful organization of the event. Their collective efforts strengthened community participation and reinforced the cultural and spiritual bonds between India and Switzerland.
Brahma Kumaris acknowledged the support of the Embassy of India in Switzerland, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Ministry of Ayush, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), and Indian Diplomacy for promoting Yoga and meditation as universal practices that foster peace, well-being, and international friendship.
