India's youth are the nation's greatest strength and the foundation of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Today, it is essential that this immense youth power remains healthy, aware, value-based, and free from addiction. However, the growing menace of substance abuse poses a serious challenge to the health, education, families, and future of our nation. At such a time, laws and medical treatment alone are not enough. Public awareness, a positive lifestyle, and active social participation are equally essential.
With this objective, Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, in alignment with the public awareness initiatives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, and Mission SPANDAN of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ministry of Home Affairs, is organizing the nationwide "10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pledge Mega Campaign" from 6 August to 20 August 2026.
A Historic National People's Movement
This campaign is not merely a pledge programme; it is a nationwide people's movement aimed at inspiring 10 crore Indian citizens to adopt an addiction-free lifestyle while spreading the message of health, positive thinking, and moral values to every family.
The campaign is dedicated to the 19th Memorial Anniversary of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani Ji, the former Chief Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris. Her entire life was devoted to spiritual awakening, selfless service, and bringing positive transformation to society. This campaign is a humble tribute to carrying her ideals and inspiration to every citizen.
National Launch
The national launch of the campaign will be held on 2 August 2026 in New Delhi.
On this occasion, the national programme "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" will inspire youth across the country to actively contribute towards building an Addiction-Free India.
Thereafter, on 4 August 2026, the campaign aims to be launched simultaneously across 28 States, 8 Union Territories, and nearly 800 districts, creating a nationwide wave of public awareness.
Major Objectives of the Campaign
- Administer the Nasha Mukti Pledge to 10 crore citizens.
- Create awareness among youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
- Promote a healthy, positive, and value-based lifestyle.
