Taking Guidance From God Or The Supreme Soul

There are many occasions in our day-to-day life when we are not sure as to what our next action should be in that particular situation. The intellect in the soul normally takes all decisions for the soul. But sometimes the intellect is clouded by our own or others’ sanskaras, beliefs, opinions, assumptions, thoughts, actions, past experiences, etc. In such a situation, we require the guidance of someone who:

No human soul can fulfill all these requirements. Thus, to proceed in such a situation, it’s good to take the guidance from the intellect of someone who fulfills all these aspects. That someone is no one except the Supreme Being or God, who is the Supreme Soul possessing the most clean and powerful intellect, with the most perfect judgment power. Sometimes our mind and intellect is absolutely clean and clear and we are 100% sure about the right action, but even in those times it’s good to verify the action from a higher authority.

So, in those times, it is very important to connect for a few minutes with the Supreme, who is a spiritual energy full of truth and unlimited wisdom full of depth. Then, the question to ask ourselves at that time is not what do we want, or what do others want, but most importantly: What does the Supreme want, what is His wish, what is His perception of the situation? The deeper our connection with Him in meditation, the clearer the answer will come. When it becomes a regular practice, it will be as simple as taking guidance from our physical parent or spouse or friend. We'll know without wasting time and energy, the right action in any situation. Sometimes it may happen that the answer may not come to us immediately, but by connecting our intellect with the Supreme’s intellect our intellect will become clean and clear, which will help us take the right decision. Also, in some cases the Supreme may not respond immediately in meditation but may guide us through some other medium, whether living or non-living after some time or even after a day or two or also give us an answer through His wisdom, which He shares with us everyday.
