Hello, I'm Simran. I'm from London, and I'm a doctor. I'm attending the retreat as my parents were lucky enough to be invited here. I've briefly been in touch with spirituality with the Brahma Kumaris when I was 13 and was first introduced to it, and since then, less so with spirituality in London. But actually coming here, I think these teachings can be applied to many life situations. They seem simple, but they're very profound when you really listen to what they're saying and how it can be applied in your life. I think it's really very wise, and the teachings are incredible. Mount Abu is an amazing setting as well to be learning all of this amazing information. I'm very lucky to be here.
So yeah, as I said, I'm a doctor, and coming to Mount Abu has been really helpful for me, not only in personal life but also professionally. It's something I have been thinking about, spirituality
how we can bring that into our practice to enrich patients' lives.
I think one thing as doctors that we do is we look after their physical health, and what's becoming more and more important, and what we are recognizing as health professionals, is looking after people's mental health. This is so important, and there are many ways that we're trying to do that, but coming here, I'm learning more about how we can do that in a spiritual way. One of the missions that I set myself at the start of last year was to explore how we can bring spirituality into healthcare, and that's something that I'm still thinking about and learning about here.
So, if I had to describe Mount Abu in one word, I would say profound. Deeply profound.
