The Brahma Kumaris, in collaboration with Sparcwing, were honoured to participate in the inauguration of ISRO’s new training laboratory in Ahmedabad and conduct the very first session at the facility. The session was led by BK Pradeep Gupta, accompanied by two BK students, bringing together the transformative practice of Rajyoga meditation and modern scientific technology for mental wellness.
More than 50 scientists participated in this special session, which featured live demonstrations using advanced mind-body monitoring technologies, including MindWave, PIP Stress Tracker, Muse, and eSense Mindfield. These demonstrations offered participants an opportunity to explore the connection between meditation, mental well-being, stress management, and scientific measurement.
The programme included a guided Rajyoga meditation session, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session that encouraged meaningful dialogue and deeper understanding of the practical benefits of meditation in professional and scientific environments.
The session received warm appreciation from Dr. S. C. Berra, Associate Director, ISRO Ahmedabad, reflecting the positive response and interest generated among the participating scientists. An important highlight was the discussion on the possibility of establishing a dedicated Mind Lab at ISRO, opening promising avenues for future collaboration between science, meditation, and mental wellness.
The programme marked a meaningful step towards exploring how the ancient wisdom of Rajyoga meditation can complement modern scientific research and contribute to emotional balance, stress management, concentration, and overall well-being.
The Brahma Kumaris and Sparcwing expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation and encouraging response from the ISRO scientific community. This initiative represents a promising beginning towards strengthening the connection between science and spirituality for a healthier, more peaceful, and balanced mind.
