On 30 June 2026, a delegation of the Brahma Kumaris Finance Fraternity Seva Wing, led by CA BK Lalit Inani, Vice Chairperson of the Wing and Secretary, Brahma Kumaris, met with the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Bhai Patel, and Smt. Darshanaben Vaghela, Hon'ble Minister of State for Urban Development and Urban Housing.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a representation requesting exemption from property tax on properties owned and utilised by religious and spiritual organisations under various Municipal Corporations across the state of Gujarat.
The delegation highlighted the invaluable social, spiritual, educational, and community welfare services rendered by these organisations and emphasized that extending suitable property tax exemptions would further strengthen their ability to serve society through various public welfare initiatives.
The Hon'ble Chief Minister and the Hon'ble Minister gave the delegation a patient hearing and assured them that the representation would receive positive consideration, with efforts being made towards an early resolution of the matter.
The meeting reflected a constructive dialogue aimed at supporting institutions dedicated to spiritual values and community service for the benefit of society.
