From November 2025, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) was held in Belém, Brazil, bringing together around 50,000 delegates from across the world. The Brahma Kumaris participated as one of the 4,000 accredited observer organizations, contributing a spiritual perspective to global discussions on climate change.

During the conference, UN Secretary-General António Guterres emphasized the urgent need to limit global warming to 1.5°C and described failure to act as a “moral failure and deadly negligence.” He also highlighted concerns about fossil fuel industries and their impact on the environment.

The Brahma Kumaris delegation received strong support from BK centers in Brazil, especially from São Paulo and Salvador. Their participation highlighted the message that true environmental change begins with inner transformation and peaceful consciousness.

A COP30 Exhibition was jointly organized by the Brahma Kumaris along with partner organizations from Ghana, the United States, and Switzerland. The exhibition served as a platform for dialogue, meetings, and distribution of spiritual and educational materials. The exhibition team—Alex, Goreth, Ananya, Nonie, Sonja, and Golo—successfully completed the setup and welcomed participants throughout the event in Belém.

The BK theme for COP30 was “Our Power – Our Planet: Earth Regeneration through Connection with My Inner World.” This message focused on the importance of inner peace, self-awareness, and spiritual strength as the foundation for protecting the Earth.

In preparation for COP30, several service activities were conducted:
- A retreat held in September 2025 at the BK Retreat Centre in Serra Negra brought together NGO representatives and community members to discuss the Global Ethical Stocktake and climate justice.
- On 5th November 2025, a lecture titled “Healthy Mind, Healthy Planet” was delivered by Golo and Sonja, encouraging participants to understand the connection between mental well-being and environmental well-being.
- In Rio de Janeiro, Carolin delivered a talk at the State University of Rio de Janeiro on “Active Hope for the Planet.” The session also included a guided meditation led by Augusto, which was well received by participants.
- The BK team also met environmental experts including biologist Mario Moscatelli and learned about successful local environmental restoration projects.

Overall, the Brahma Kumaris continued their service focus on spreading awareness that sustainable environmental change begins with inner transformation. Through participation in COP30 and related activities, they shared the message of peace, ethical living, and spiritual awareness as essential foundations for a better and more sustainable world.

This service report for the year 2025–26 reflects the ongoing commitment of the Brahma Kumaris to support global climate action through spiritual understanding and community engagement.
