On 2 July 2026, the Brahma Kumaris UK participated in the Action for Harmony event held in the Churchill Room at the House of Lords, London. The gathering brought together leaders from some of the UK's leading Hindu organisations to explore how collective action can strengthen communities and foster harmony.
Representatives from the Brahma Kumaris, ISKCON, BAPS, Chinmaya Mission, and GAKM shared their organisations' initiatives and commitment to serving society. The Brahma Kumaris delegation comprised Trustee Mahesh Patel, Sister Jaymini, Director of Publications (UK), along with Moti and Shantanu.
The event was attended by leaders of Hindu organisations, representatives of other faith communities, and Members of Parliament from both Houses. It was hosted by Baroness Verma and MP Navendu Mishra. Padma Shri Barry Gardiner MP delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in building stronger and more harmonious communities.
During the event, the Brahma Kumaris presented its ongoing efforts to promote emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. The organisation highlighted how Rajyoga Meditation and values-based living help develop inner resilience and contribute to positive transformation in healthcare, education, youth development, and society at large.
The programme was also attended by Seema Malhotra MP, reflecting the growing recognition of the vital role that faith communities play in fostering compassion, resilience, and social harmony. The event concluded with a shared commitment among participating organisations to continue working together through dialogue, cooperation, and shared values for the betterment of society.
