On 16th September 2026, the four-day Divyangjan Seva Campaign commenced in Vijayawada as part of the statewide campaign in Andhra Pradesh. Conducted from 16th to 19th September, the campaign reached eight institutions and approximately 1,000 Divyang students, including children with intellectual, visual and hearing impairments. Across the four days, eight programmes were conducted, featuring value-based activities, interactive games, motivational sessions, meditation and other activities designed according to the needs and abilities of the students.
The campaign was inaugurated by Shri Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Vijayawada Central constituency.
On 19th September 2026, the closing programme marked the culmination of the campaign activities in Vijayawada. The occasion was graced by Shri Bonda Siddharth, Smt. Chennupati Vidya, Director of Vasavya Mahila Mandali, Dr. Krishna Kumari, Chairperson of Cheyuta Intervention Centre, and Dr. Agastya Satnam, Behavioral Analyst.
A special highlight of the closing programme was the enthusiastic participation of intellectually challenged students, who showcased their talents through singing, dancing, puzzle-making, answering general-knowledge questions, mathematics activities and playing musical instruments. Their performances reflected their creativity, abilities and confidence.
The campaign was conducted in the gracious presence and support of BK Shanta Didiji, Director of Universal Peace Retreat Centre and In-charge of the Brahma Kumaris Centres in Vijayawada. The programme also received the wholehearted support and enthusiastic participation of the BKs and volunteers, whose dedicated service contributed to the successful conduct of the campaign.
The four-day initiative provided a meaningful platform for Divyang students to experience values, encouragement, self-confidence, creativity, positivity and inclusive participation, carrying forward the spirit of service and empowerment that formed the foundation of the campaign.
