On 28 June 2026, on the occasion of the Drug-Free India Mega Campaign jointly organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the Narcotics Control Bureau, and the Medical Wing of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Hon'ble Governor (Retd.) Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain shared a powerful message emphasizing the collective responsibility of building a drug-free nation.
In his message, the Governor highlighted that drug addiction not only jeopardizes the future of the youth but also presents a serious challenge to the progress and development of society and the nation. He appealed to all citizens, particularly the youth, to stay away from drugs and embrace a healthy, aware, and responsible lifestyle.
The Governor further stated that the vision of a Drug-Free India cannot be achieved through the efforts of the government alone. It requires the active participation, awareness, and commitment of every individual in society.
Concluding his message, he called upon everyone to take a sincere pledge to remain free from drugs themselves and to inspire their families, friends, and communities to adopt a drug-free way of life, thereby contributing towards a healthier and stronger India.
