World Meditation Day –2025 was observed at the Open-Air Theatre, Manasagangotri, University of Mysuru, where around 3,000 people participated in a collective Rajyoga Meditation session. The venue was transformed into a peaceful meditation hall, offering participants a profound experience of mental calm and inner harmony.
The program was organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mysuru, in accordance with the United Nations declaration of World Meditation Day. The theme of the event was Internal Peace and World Harmony, with participation from yoga institutions, meditation centers, educational institutions, and Brahma Kumaris followers.
The event began with yoga dance performances by school children and community singing. Sister BK Rashmi explained the benefits of Rajyoga Meditation, followed by a guided meditation session conducted by Sister BK Manjula.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sharanappa Halse, Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University, highlighted the role of meditation in improving concentration, mental strength, and longevity through unconditional love. Registrar of the University of Mysuru, Smt. M. K. Savita, emphasized that meditation is essential for physical, mental, and emotional well-being in today’s fast-paced life.
Mysuru Sub-Zone Chief, Sister BK Lakshmiji, thanked all dignitaries and participants, while Dr. Venkatakrishna and Dr. L. N. Shenoy also shared insights on holistic health. The program concluded with a collective resolve to adopt meditation for a peaceful and harmonious life.
