The Brahma Kumaris IT Wing organised “Empowering the Self,” a three-day residential conference for IT Leaders and IT Professionals, at Manmohinivan Campus, Brahma Kumaris Headquarters, from 3 to 6 September 2026. The conference brought together around 450 participants, including more than 50 CXO-level leaders, senior executives and professionals from the IT sector.
The programme began on 3 September with a welcome and inauguration. The inaugural session was graced by BK Karuna Bhaiji, Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris, BK Asha Didiji, Chairperson of the IT Wing; BK Yashwant Bhai, IT Wing HQ Coordinator; and other senior brothers and sisters. In their good wishes, they encouraged participants to use the retreat as an opportunity to strengthen the self and bring greater balance and clarity into both personal and professional life.
On 4 September, the day began with Amritvela meditation, “Awakening the Inner Being,” led by BK Shivani Didi, followed by light physical exercises and a Rajyoga Shivir on “Soul Awareness: A New Way of Seeing Myself.” Later, BK Shivani Didi conducted the session “Emotional Independence: Empowering the Self,” sharing practical insights on remaining internally stable rather than allowing external situations to determine one’s state of mind.
The day continued with “The Invisible Patterns Running My Life” by BK Usha Didi and “The Art of Harmonious Relationships” by BK Shreya Sister. In the evening, participants took part in an outdoor activity facilitated by BK Ritu Sister, bringing an experiential element to the day’s learning. The programme concluded with a panel discussion on “Navigating Life with Inner Wisdom,” built around questions submitted anonymously by the participants.
The second day, 5 September, opened with Amritvela meditation, “Opening the Heart to the Divine,” by BK Vidhatri Sister, followed by the Rajyoga Shivir “The Soul’s Relationship with the Supreme” by BK Deepa Didi. BK Mohit Bhai then conducted “The Healing Power of the Supreme Connection,” helping participants explore the subject at a more experiential level.
The connection between technology and inner awareness was explored further in “From Code to Consciousness” by BK Gireesh Bhai. Addressing another subject highly relevant to today’s professionals, BK Bala Bhai spoke on “Digital Wellness.” Later, BK Suraj Bhaiji conducted “Sankalp Se Siddhi: The Power of Thought,” highlighting how the quality and direction of one’s thoughts influence actions, experiences and outcomes.
On the concluding day, 6 September, BK Varsha Didi led the guided Amritvela meditation “Creating the Day Before Living It.” This was followed by Rajyoga Shivir III – “Rajyoga Meditation: The Journey Within” by BK Deepa Didi.
BK Dr. Sachin Bhai then conducted “Human 2.0: The Inner Upgrade,” drawing an interesting parallel between technological upgrades and the need to continually upgrade one’s own thinking and consciousness. BK Bala Bhai followed with “Overcoming Overthinking,” sharing practical spiritual perspectives on maintaining clarity, peace and greater mastery over one’s thoughts in a fast-paced world.
Along with the main sessions, the conference included guided Rajyoga meditation, physical exercises, reflection time, spiritual and outdoor activities, meditation with music, and opportunities for interaction. This combination allowed participants not only to listen to the speakers, but also to pause, reflect and experience the ideas being discussed.
The conference concluded with experience sharing and, a valedictory session.
With around 450 participants, including 50+ CXO-level leaders, “Empowering the Self” brought together the worlds of technology, leadership and spirituality in a meaningful way. Over the three days, the central message remained simple and relevant: while technology continues to evolve rapidly, lasting change begins with strengthening and upgrading the self.
