As part of the Digital Wellness initiative to create awareness about responsible and mindful use of digital technology, a Digital Wellness programme was conducted at Garfa Girls' School, Kolkata, reaching approximately 110 girl students.
The session focused on creating awareness among students at a formative stage when patterns of technology and social-media use are rapidly developing. The programme provided an opportunity to encourage young learners to reflect on their digital habits and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy balance in their daily lives.
Participants were encouraged to recognise that digital well-being is about maintaining balance between:
- Online and Offline Life
- Entertainment and Education
- Connection and Concentration
- Technology and Human Relationships
- Information and Inner Peace
The session highlighted that conscious and balanced use of technology can support students in maintaining concentration, nurturing meaningful relationships and protecting their inner peace, while still benefiting from the learning and connectivity offered by digital platforms.
The programme emphasized that developing such awareness during the formative years can help students cultivate healthier digital habits that can continue into higher education and their professional lives.
The session concluded with an encouragement for students to use technology mindfully, purposefully and in a balanced manner, ensuring that digital tools enrich their lives without becoming a source of distraction or imbalance
