On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Brahma Kumaris sisters in Goa spread the message of universal brotherhood by tying the sacred Rakhi to several eminent leaders and dignitaries.
The celebrations commenced at Raj Bhavan, Panaji, where BK Shobha Behn and BK Surekha Behn tied Rakhi to Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Shri Pashupati Gajpati Ashok Raju, and his wife, offering Godly gifts and blessings.
Later, at the residence of Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, BK Shobha Didi and BK Vanita Didi tied the holy thread, offering Ishwariya Prasad and sharing the message of divine love and protection.
BK Surekha Behn also tied Rakhi to Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Rajendra Arlekar, during his stay at Residency, Vasco. In Porvorim, Minister of Tourism, Shri Rohan Khaunte, received the Godly Rakhi.
Opposition Leader of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Yuri Alemao, welcomed BK Shobha, BK Surekha, BK Vanita Palasamkar, and BK Neeta for the ceremony. Similarly, Shri Vijay Sardesai, Leader of the Goa Forward Party, was greeted with Rakhi and Godly gifts by BK Shobha, BK Surekha, and BK Vanita.
In Margao, former Chief Minister and MLA, Shri Digambar Kamat, was tied the Rakhi by BK Surekha and BK Rakhi, receiving divine blessings. BK Vanita Behn and BK Surekha Behn also tied Rakhi to Dy. Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Joshua D’Souza, marking the occasion with spiritual significance.
Through these heartfelt interactions, the Brahma Kumaris shared the true essence of Raksha Bandhan — the bond of purity, peace, and spiritual protection — fostering harmony and goodwill among all.
