On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at 6:00 pm, the House of Lords in London, United Kingdom, hosted a distinguished pre-event in honour of the upcoming United Nations World Meditation Day 2025. The theme of the gathering was Inner Peace; Global Harmony.
The event was hosted by Lord Krish Raval OBE and held in the esteemed presence of Sister Jayanti, Additional Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris. It was organised in partnership with the Sanskruti Centre of Cultural Excellence.
This high-level gathering brought together Parliamentarians, diplomats, senior officials, and community leaders to reflect on the growing importance of meditation as a practical tool for enhancing mental resilience, supporting leadership and decision-making, and cultivating cohesive and harmonious societies.
Meditation is increasingly recognised across healthcare, education, and policy-making sectors for its ability to reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and strengthen empathy — qualities greatly needed in today’s rapidly evolving world.
The programme aimed not only to raise awareness but also to offer participants an experiential understanding of meditation and the transformative concept of Inner Peace; Global Harmony.
The event marked a meaningful step toward the global observance of UN World Meditation Day on 21 December, encouraging individuals and communities to reflect on how inner stability can contribute to collective well-being."
