On 27th August 2025, the Brahma Kumaris, Nepeansea Road, Mumbai, organized a special Paryushan Pravachan Mala at the serene Malabar Hill, marking a unique blend of Jain values with contemporary relevance. The Paryushan festival, dedicated to introspection, self-discipline, prayer, and forgiveness, was beautifully observed through these enlightening sessions.
In his first-ever Paryushan Pravachan in Mumbai, Rajyogi Brahmakumar Nikunj, Spiritual Mentor, Popular Columnist, and National Coordinator of the Media Wing of Brahma Kumaris, delivered a transformative discourse on the theme “Being Positive in Challenging Times.” He profoundly connected the Five Mahāvratas of Jainism—Ahimsa (Non-violence), Satya (Truthfulness), Asteya (Non-stealing), Brahmacharya (Self-control), and Aparigraha (Non-possession)—with the challenges of modern life, explaining their simple yet powerful applications for balanced living today. His message emphasized that these vows are not just for ascetics but for every individual seeking a value-based and fulfilling life.
The session concluded with a soothing meditation conducted by BK Sister Vishnupriya, Senior Rajyoga Teacher, offering participants a deep inner experience of peace.
Another inspiring pravachan was delivered by Rajyogini Brahmakumari Shaku Didi, Incharge of Brahma Kumaris Ghatkopar Subzone, on the theme “Good Deeds Yielding Good Results.” She beautifully illustrated the inevitability of karmic fruits through real-life stories and practical insights, encouraging everyone to be mindful of their actions.
The event was ably coordinated by BK Sister Rukmini of Brahma Kumaris, Nepeansea Road, whose efforts ensured the smooth organization of the sessions.
The Pravachan Mala left the audience deeply inspired, encouraging all to look within and adopt these timeless principles in daily life, reaffirming that spirituality is not renunciation, but the art of right living.
