The Divinity And Spirituality Of Ganesh Chaturthi (Part 2)

Continue from Yesterdays Message :

  1. The large stomach of Sri Ganesh represents the power to accommodate. We should not talk to others about people’s weaknesses and their incorrect actions.
  2. An axe, rope and lotus are shown in Sri Ganesh’s hands and his one hand is giving blessings.  Axe represents the power to cut negative habits. Rope is symbolic of remaining tied to the discipline of a pure lifestyle. Lotus life means living in the muddy surroundings but untouched and pure. The hand of blessings means irrespective of how others behave, our thoughts and words for them should only be a blessing.
  3. He is shown sitting with one leg touching the ground and other folded. This is a reminder for us to remain grounded and humble. To be in the world and yet detached from it.
  4. The modak placed in one of his hands represents success as a result of hard work. But he is never shown eating it, which means achieve success but don’t take credit for it. Modak also symbolizes unity and co-operation since all 5 fingers are needed to make a modak.
  5. The mouse which is shown close to Sri Ganesh’s feet symbolizes victory over vices and desires. Just as a mouse quietly enters a house even through a tiny hole, vices enter a soul who is not alert. When we imbibe all the qualities of Sri Ganesh, we will overpower our vices and desires.

When we start experiencing and expressing the divine qualities as symbolized by Sri Ganesh in our every thought, word and action, our obstacles get destroyed and we enjoy purity, peace and prosperity at every step in our lives.

Creating A World Free From Stress And Worry (Part 3)

Creating A World Free From Stress And Worry (Part 3)

Enjoy Every Day With Spiritual Happiness And Share The Same With Others
A very important way by which we can empower other souls and make them happier is being happy ourselves. But we also need to take care that our happiness is spiritual and permanent and not based on a wrong belief system. We need to understand that the world is also happy but when difficult situations arise in people’s lives, they become stressed and lose their happiness. This is because their happiness is based on a wrong belief system, and it is dependent on outside sources and it is experienced through their physical sense organs. Sometimes people have these sources in their lives but when they have a negative scene to overcome in any sphere of life, these same sources stop giving them happiness and they feel a void or emptiness in their lives. So, by empowering ourselves spiritually and creating a positive and permanent happiness based on wisdom in our lives, we can help and inspire our family members, friends and even colleagues at our workplace to rise above negative situations which cause stress and bring their happiness down.
Take Care That People Connect To God’s Vibrations
A big challenge for any human being is to overcome the incorrect beliefs they carry regarding a spiritual connection with God. This is because until we do not connect to God’s vibrations through a connection with Him in meditation based on correct spiritual wisdom, the negativity which arises in our thoughts, feelings and attitudes in a stressful situation will not clear up and we will not feel light and experience constant happiness at that time. So let us take care that we carry a booklet or pamphlet with us in English or Hindi or both or any other language which gives an introduction to meditation and gift it to whomever we meet everyday. This is the need of the hour for everyone.
