Sometimes, history is not created through massive efforts or influence.
Sometimes, it is born from a pure thought, a sincere intention, and unseen divine support.
The issuance of Dadi Janki’s commemorative postage stamp is one such story. It was not just an administrative process. It was a journey filled with faith, service, and unmistakable signs of God’s invisible hand at work.
To truly understand this story, we must step into the memories of someone who witnessed this journey closely — Brijmohan Bhai Sahab.
Brijmohan Bhai Sahab — A Witness to Divine Planning
Brijmohan Bhai Sahab was a senior and experienced member of the Brahma Kumaris organization, known for his long-standing service in administrative, spiritual, and national-level initiatives. More than a Secretary-General, he is a deeply respected soul who received direct sustenance from Brahma Baba and and learned to see a larger divine purpose in every situation.
When he narrates events, they are not just stories — they feel like living experiences guided by divine wisdom.

A Vision That Changed a Life
Bhai Sahab begins with a personal memory.
At around 21 years of age, he visited Mount Abu with his family, where he met Brahma Baba. Baba simply cast a glance. But that glance was not ordinary. It felt as though Brahma baba was not merely seeing his face, but perceiving the depth of the soul itself. Bhai Sahab says,
“Just as an astrologer reads a horoscope, Brahma Baba could recognise the state of the soul.”
Yet what touched him so deeply was not just Brahma baba’s vision, but the divine power working through him. In that one meeting, it was as if the Supreme father, the Divine Light and Ocean of Knowledge, had looked at him through Brahma Baba and quietly changed the direction of his life.
Brahma Baba did not merely give knowledge. Through him, the Supreme blessed Bhai Sahab with a vision that allowed him to see life not as a series of random events, but as part of a deeper divine system. From that moment on, every situation began to reveal something of God’s hidden plan.

A Recollection — When Brahma Baba’s Stamp Was Issued
As he reflects further, Bhai Sahab recalls an earlier incident — when Brahma Baba’s postage stamp was under consideration. In the Government of India, there is a high-level body called the Philatelic Advisory Committee (PAC), which recommends themes and personalities for commemorative stamps. At that time, several members opposed issuing stamps for religious personalities.
They suggested: “If stamps are to be issued, they should be for historical saints like Surdas or Kabir ji.”
Yet, something remarkable happened. Brahma Baba’s stamp was issued under the name “Prajapita Brahma.”
This was extraordinary. Because typically, stamps carry a person’s personal name (Dada Lekhraj Kripalani) along with birth and death dates. But here, the government accepted him by his spiritual identity. When this news came, a wave of joy spread across the Brahma Kumaris family.
It was not just a stamp — it was a recognition of a spiritual truth.
And Then… A New Thought Emerged
In March 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic brought everything to a standstill. It was during this period of restriction that Dadi Janki peacefully left her mortal body on 27 March 2020 at the age of 104.
Long before that, she had expressed a simple wish:
When her time came, there should be no large crowds, no costly ceremonies, and no elaborate floral tributes.
And so, just as she had wished, her departure remained quiet, simple, and free from outer show.
Gently echoing an earlier chapter of history, just as Brahma Baba’s stamp had been commemorated — a powerful thought arose:
Shouldn’t such a great soul, who served the entire world, be honored by the nation?
And from that moment, a pure resolve emerged: Dadi Janki must have a commemorative postage stamp. But immediately, a major challenge appeared.
The Wall of Rules
Government rules state that a commemorative stamp can only be issued 10 years after a person has passed away.
It felt as if the path was closed. Even many great leaders had not received stamps due to this rule. Then how could Dadi Janki’s stamp be issued?
A Ray of Hope Within the Rules
On studying the rules carefully, a small possibility appeared. If a person is associated with Art, Culture, or Music, a stamp can be issued earlier. This gave rise to a new idea.
Dadi Janki had spent 30 years abroad promoting Indian culture and Rajyoga. Yoga is India’s spiritual heritage. Based on her global contribution to Indian culture, a strong proposal was prepared.
Presenting the Full Picture to the Government
A beautiful album was created, showcasing glimpses of Dadi Janki’s life:
- Service in many countries
- Promotion of Rajyoga
- Cultural programs
- Meetings with world leaders
- Interactions with India’s President and Prime Minister
It became clear that Dadi Janki was not just a spiritual teacher — She was a global representative of Indian culture.
And Then, Miracles Began
When the sisters went to meet the Director General of the Postal Department, something remarkable happened.
He stood up from his chair and said—
Divine sisters have come to my office… please come.
His words reflected deep respect and reverence. It felt as if an invisible power had already touched his heart.
Another Inspiration
Initially, the stamp value was proposed as ₹25. But he suggested — “Make it ₹5, so that more people can use it.”
This suggestion was immediately accepted.
Gradually, All Paths Opened
Designs were created. The department extended full support. The file kept moving forward.
Finally, it reached the minister.
Everyone thought—now it may take time. But surprisingly, the minister approved the file without any personal contact. At that moment, everyone felt the same — this work was carried out by God Himself.
A Historic Moment
It was decided that the stamp would be released on 27 March, Dadi Janki’s first remembrance day. And it would be celebrated not only in India, but globally.

Dadi Janki Ji — A Unique Soul, A Life of Silent Power

Dadi Janki Ji — A Unique Soul, A Life of Silent Power
From the very beginning, Brahma Baba recognized Dadi Janki as a special and elevated soul.
While many sisters were given new spiritual names, her name remained unchanged — “Janki.” Baba often linked her to the state of King Janak — a soul who lives in the world, performs every duty, yet remains completely detached. And truly, Dadi Janki lived this stage.
She travelled the world, served thousands, led global service — yet internally, she remained stable, peaceful, and soul-conscious.
Beyond Limitations, Guided by God
One of the most inspiring parts of her life: She did not know English — yet she was sent to London. What seemed impossible became reality.
She spent nearly 30 years abroad, spreading the message of Rajyoga across the world and helping establish many spiritual centers.
Her life proved:
When God assigns a task, He also creates the path.
Service Till the Last Breath
Dadi Janki remained in her body until the age of 104 — and continued serving till the very end.
Her mind was clear, her memory sharp, and her dedication unwavering.
People across the world saw her not just as a teacher, but as a loving mother — because she didn’t just give knowledge, she gave care and inner strength.
