From 9th April 2026 to 12th April 2026, Brahma Kumaris IT Wing successfully organized a 3-day Residential Retreat for IT Leaders and Professionals titled “Empowering the Self” with the theme “Experiment, Experience, Empower” at the serene campus of Gyan Sarovar, Mount Abu.
Gyan Sarovar is a peaceful place in a natural setting that offers programs based on human, moral, and spiritual values of the Brahma Kumaris. Established in 1992 in the Aravalli mountains, it provides a clean and calm environment for learning and inner growth, along with a Spiritual Art Gallery that shares spiritual ideas in a simple and creative way.

Over 300 leaders and professionals attended the programme, representing 190+ companies from 55 cities in India and abroad, including London, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Kathmandu. Top organizations like Google, IBM, Microsoft, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Salesforce, KPMG, Barclays, TCS, Intel, Jio, and Bosch were present. Senior leaders such as CEOs, Directors, Founders, CTOs, and VPs joined together to reflect, learn, and reconnect with their inner power.

The IT Retreat began at the peaceful Gyan Sarovar, where participants were warmly welcomed by Sevadharis. After their journey, they quickly felt relaxed and at home in the calm and caring environment.

The retreat began with an introduction to the Brahma Kumaris and its services in education, healthcare, environment, and global initiatives with the United Nations. The theme Empowering the Self was shared, and the programme was inaugurated in the presence of senior Rajyoga teachers BK Sudesh Didi Ji, BK Asha Didi, BK Madhu Didi, and BK Yashwant Bhai, adding spiritual strength to the beginning.
In Turning Inwards, IT was explained as Inner Technology, helping participants focus on the soul and develop positive thinking through the Peace Model. Blessings were shared by BK Sudesh Didi Ji.

In Learning Through Experience, “Om Shanti” was explained as harmony in thoughts, words, and actions, encouraging a mindset of continuous learning. The session highlighted self-awareness, slowing down, introspection, silence, meditation, and choosing sharing over competition. Inspirations were shared by BK Asha Didi Ji.

The retreat began with a gentle reminder that true empowerment starts within and helps in creating a better world. Participants were grouped based on birth months and engaged in an activity to find common qualities, promoting unity, connection, and a positive start to the retreat.

The session Experiment, Experience, Empower showed how spirituality can be applied in daily life, highlighting inner stability, mindful thinking, and self-empowerment. It concluded that mastering the mind leads to better living and leadership.

Each morning at 4 AM during Amritvela, participants practised meditation in silence, connecting with the Supreme Soul. In the stillness, they turned inward, experiencing a simple and peaceful connection with the Divine.

In the Rajyoga session, the soul was explained as a point of light with qualities like peace, love, and power, and as the master of the mind. Meditation was shared as a way to develop positive thinking and inner strength. The Supreme Soul was introduced as a constant source of peace and power, and through remembrance, participants experienced inner stability and the ability to uplift others. The session was guided by BK Deepa Didi.

The sessions highlighted that compassion is the strength to stay peaceful, understand others, and respond with care. True self-love was explained as moving from “doing” to “being,” with focus on positive thoughts, mindful digital use, and building emotional strength through meditation and forgiveness. BK Madhu Didi shared through a story that a calm mind brings clarity, encouraging the use of positive affirmations to remain stable and strong, while sessions by BK Shivani Didi added deeper insights.

Sessions by BK Radhika Didi highlighted the power of silence, acceptance, and positive thinking to move from problems to solutions. The evening sessions at Gyan Sarovar created a deeply peaceful and divine experience through collective meditation. At the amphitheatre and Dadi Janki Park, participants connected with the Supreme, experiencing peace, love, and inner power in a serene atmosphere enhanced by nature, soft lights, and soothing music by Brother David. Guided meditation helped everyone reach deep silence and radiate peace to the world.

Dining at Gyan Sarovar was a peaceful, mindful experience where participants ate in silence without devices. This created a calm space to be present, turning meals into moments of inner recharge, with satvik food nourishing both body and soul.

A Digital Wellness stall highlighted the impact of technology on daily life, using the concept of a “modern-day Raavan” to show the effects of social media on well-being. It shared simple solutions and explained neuroplasticity, encouraging awareness and conscious habits to create balance in the digital world.

The Blessings Corner was a deeply touching space where participants wrote their challenges, questions, or feelings and connected with God, the Divine Point of Light, in silence. After this quiet reflection, they received a personal blessing, creating a simple yet powerful spiritual experience.

The Exploring Happiness stall encouraged participants to reflect on what truly makes them happy. Through creative activities like drawing their happiness and letting go of unhappiness by writing and tearing it, participants experienced a simple yet powerful shift towards choosing happiness.

A peaceful trek with soothing music led participants into silence and reflection. At the hilltop, a short meditation and beautiful views brought a sense of freshness, clarity, and inner peace.

Behind the retreat was the silent service of dedicated brothers and sisters who worked with care in planning, logistics, accommodation, food, and many unseen details. Their selfless effort showed that service done with humility becomes a form of meditation.

In Voices from the Heart, participants shared their experiences and learnings from the retreat, expressing how deeply they were touched. In the presence of BK Prabha Didi, their heartfelt sharing and her loving blessings made the moment very special and meaningful for all.

The Light Room initiative highlighted the importance of short inner breaks in a busy work life. It introduced a simple space where individuals can pause, meditate, and recharge using tools like soul cards, positive quotes, and guided meditation. This helps improve clarity, well-being, and create a calm and positive work environment.

The Time to Meditate app was introduced as a simple and powerful tool offering short guided meditations for all age groups. Available in Hindi and English on iOS and Android, it helps individuals pause, relax, and reconnect anytime, supporting inner peace and well-being in daily life.
