On 1st February 2026, Brahma Kumaris, Mumbai (Ghatkopar Sub-Zone) organised the Sakhi Minithon 2026 at Acharya Atre Sports Ground, Pant Nagar, Ghatkopar (East), in loving memory of Rajyogini Brahmakumari Dr. Nalini Didi Ji (Didi Maa). Around 2,500 women of all ages came together to celebrate health, happiness, and unity.
The day began early with a lively atmosphere. The programme started at 6:00 am with a warm-up Zumba session by Ms. Hemina Goswami, Certified Zumba Instructor. At 7:00 am, the 4 km Minithon run began, with enthusiastic participation from women of all ages.
The event was flagged off in the presence of Rajyogi Brahma Kumar Nikunj Ji, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani Ji, Padmabhushan Dr. Suresh Advani Ji, Rajyogini Brahmakumari Shaku Didi Ji, Mrs. Sujata Ilave, and senior Rajyoga teachers BK Vishnupriya, BK Neelima, and BK Sarla.
Rajyogi Nikunj Ji encouraged everyone to take a day from routine to celebrate life, health, and togetherness. He shared the blessings of Pujya Nalini Didi Ji — Be Happy, Be Safe, Be a Well-Wisher, and Be a Great Giver — and said everyone who participates is a winner.
Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani Ji and Dr. Suresh Advani Ji motivated the participants to stay active, healthy, and positive. Rajyogini Shaku Didi Ji congratulated the women for gathering early and encouraged them to be self-reliant and confident.
The event was anchored by BK Bahadur, and Karate Coach Shashikant More demonstrated self-defence exercises. A free medical camp and a Rajyoga Meditation Camp were also organised. Each participant received a goody bag with essential items for women.
The Sakhi Minithon 2026 was a joyful and inspiring event, highlighting the importance of physical and mental well-being, and fostering unity and positivity among women.
