On August 16, 2026, the Brahma Kumaris joined the India Day Parade, organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) in New York. The event brought together the Indian-American community to celebrate India’s Independence Day and rich cultural heritage.
Around 50 Brahma Kumaris sisters and brothers participated in the parade and shared the message of peace, love and spiritual values.
During the event, BK Tina tied a Rakhi to Indian television producer, director and actor Asit Kumarr Modi. She also tied a Rakhi to the Grand Marshal and Bollywood actress Pooja Hegde.
BK Sisters Sheetal, Tina and Doni shared blessings and distributed toli among the participants.
The participation of the Brahma Kumaris added a message of peace, unity, love and spiritual values to the India Day celebrations in New York.
