On Friday, 19 December 2025, a special international event titled “Meditation for Global Peace & Harmony” will be co-organized at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, by the Permanent Mission of India, along with the Permanent Missions of Andorra, Mexico, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

The programme will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Trusteeship Council Chamber. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will lead the meditation practice during this commemorative event. Representatives of leading meditation and spiritual organizations, including the Brahma Kumaris, will address the gathering and will share insights on peace, harmony, and inner transformation.

The event will aim to highlight the significance of meditation as an effective means for fostering global peace, harmony, and collective well-being. Diplomats, UN officials, spiritual leaders, and participants from various countries are expected to participate in this international programme.
