A four-day Diabetes HOPE Retreat was recently held at Global Hospital and Research Center, Mount Abu – Rajasthan, offering a comprehensive in-hospital diabetes camp aimed at enhancing diabetes management skills through structured educational activities.
This impactful retreat was conducted under the guidance of the Diabetology Team, led by Dr. B. Ramya, Physician and Diabetologist.
As part of the program, a special session on Digital Wellness was conducted by Dr. B. Ramya, focusing on the lesser-known but significant impact of digital habits on health, especially for individuals managing diabetes. The session shed light on the detrimental effects of excessive screen time, which include decreased focus on daily activities, heightened mental stress, disrupted sleep quality, and increased toxin release — all of which can impede effective diabetes control.
The initiative emphasized the need for conscious lifestyle changes to mitigate these risks and encourage participants to take control of their well-being. The core mission of the retreat remains to empower individuals to envision a future free from the constraints of diabetes, through practical lifestyle modifications and holistic awareness.
Through this retreat and the added dimension of digital wellness education, Global Hospital continues its dedicated efforts to create a healthier, more mindful society.
