On 15th February 2026, on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, a special public programme was organized at Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, as part of a grand four-day Shivratri Mahotsav titled ‘Arunachaleswar Darshan’. The Mahotsav was conducted in a magnificent manner and received an overwhelming response from devotees and members of the public.
The four-day celebration featured many unique spiritual attractions. A beautifully designed model of the world-renowned Arunachaleswar Temple was the main highlight. Devotees also experienced the representation of Arunagiri, Agni Lingam, and Dwadasa Jyotirlinga Darshan. The arrangements included Maha Aarathi and Yagya Kund, grand cultural presentations, a spiritual exhibition, and free Rajyoga meditation sessions. Visitors also enjoyed value-based learning through interactive games and spiritual entertainment activities.
Thousands of people attended the Mahotsav and experienced the serene and divine atmosphere at Shanti Sarovar. Many devotees appreciated the peaceful environment and the meaningful presentation of Shivratri celebrations.
The Maha Shivratri special public programme was graced by Maharshi Ramana Murthy, National General Secretary of Jai Bharat Movement, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the selfless spiritual services rendered by the Brahma Kumaris. He said that the true essence of Sanatana culture is being preserved and practiced at Brahma Kumaris, and described the organization as a matter of pride for the nation. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of every citizen to support and protect such value-based movements. He also remarked that much can be learned from the disciplined and service-oriented approach of the Brahma Kumaris. Referring to negative propaganda on social media, he stated that any attempts to malign such noble service activities should be collectively condemned.
Sister BK Jenna from Washington spoke on the spiritual significance of Maha Shivratri and highlighted the importance of Rajyoga meditation and the services of the Brahma Kumaris in today’s stressful world.
Mr. Sankariah, Additional Commissioner of GHMC, extended his greetings and said that society has a collective responsibility to participate in and support the selfless service initiatives of the Brahma Kumaris.
The Mahotsav concluded with a powerful message of inner awakening, peace, and spiritual transformation, leaving a lasting and positive impression on all who attended.
