BK Mruthyunjaya was born in 1948 in a religious family in Bangalore. After graduation in Commerce from Bangalore University, he came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University at the young age of 19. The Godly Knowledge and Rajyoga Meditation taught in this Spiritual University enabled him to experience wonderful transcendental communion with the Divine. He dedicated himself to the Institution and became an instrument in spreading Divine message both in India and abroad.

He is also the inspiration and instrument for establishing hundreds of Brahma Kumaris Centres & Retreat Centers.

He has visited several countries and delivered lectures on various themes in Universities, Colleges, National and International Conferences, Academic and Research centres on invitation. He has also delivered several radio & TV talks in India and foreign countries such as the USA, UK, Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Holland and Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

He has been the Organising and Executive Secretary of several National and International Conferences held at Mount Abu and other places in India since 1977.
