Three days that reshaped how I think and respond. Through self-consciousness, mind power, and digital wellness, this experience helped me reconnect within and apply clarity back at work—with gratitude.
Hi, my name is Sneha Bhalala. I come from Mumbai. I come with around 14 years of experience in an HR IT transformation background. I’m joining Brahma Kumaris’ beautiful IT retreat here. It’s a 3-day program.
So, the whole program has really helped me in terms of self-consciousness—one to talk about. Second will be the mind power, which is really required in this age. And third will be about, you know, how we react to the external world.
So, if you ask me, coming from a strategic IT background, I’ll call it a PPT model. P resembling people equals mind here, because it’s all mind power, mind game. Another P, the second P, will be process—what they have taught us during the whole retreat: how do we, you know, communicate with the external world? How do we communicate with the supreme power—the process of it. And T is transformation—how we implement that process and transform our lives through it.
So, it’s a beautiful experience that I’ve experienced here in these 3 days. The amenities they have provided, the experience that they have given, is priceless, and I am truly, truly, truly grateful to have attended this session.
I’ll be very honest in terms of meditation. I was an avid yoga and meditation person, but in the last few years, you know, I’ve lost the connection. But coming here has again got me back to where I was—back to the roots—making myself aware of what my self-consciousness is, what my connection with the supreme power is. So, this whole retreat has helped me with that. So, thank you again for that.
I’ll specifically call out one session, which was digital wellness, which was taken by, one very senior person here. So, from that, I got to know about multitasking, which I was super proud of, you know, doing throughout my whole career. But then I just realized it yesterday, and it was a very simple thing—that, you know, multitasking is not really something to be proud of in this hustle world. It’s something that takes your time. It kills your efficiency. But it was as simple as that, which we were not able to understand.
So yeah, it made me aware of it. I’ll be definitely implementing it once I’m back in the office tomorrow. And it’s as small as that. But there are many other learnings that, you know, I’ll be implementing—taking away from the session.
When asked to describe her experience in one word..
This is a difficult one. So, I would say I have two words. One is transformative, because it transformed the way I was thinking. And second would be grateful—that you guys are connecting us back to the root. Thank you.
